This Demo is just for you

Hi. I thought I'd set this up as a practice run. It's natural to feel a little anxious about learning how to blog. I'm going to show you how easy it really is. Once you get over the hurdle of the language--which really isn't difficult, you'd be surprised how much you already know--you'll be posting, putting up pictures, videos, finding friends to join your blog. In short, you will be having a blast!

Everything you see now can be changed. From the typeset to the background (template) the colors on this or another template, and whether you'd want your sidebar on the right or the left, we can change everything. When you get used to playing with this, we can start your blog right away.

I've set this up so that you and I can work on this, add posts and comments, delete them, edit them, and add fun gadgets, like a playlist from YouTube, and share this info either automatically or by hand to Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media you'd like to sow your seeds.

We should set up a time that is good for both of us. We can speak on the phone--I have a magic jack now, and a cell phone, or we can use Google Talk or Chat. I suggest you get a Google email account. I'm pretty sure you have one already. Right now, I'm going to wrap this up, and post this link in a message to you. From there....well, if you are here, it means you got the message!

If you want to start a Facebook page instead, let me know. I need to create my own page there having to do with services for the disabled/chronic pain--Not selling, just asking people what they need.

Either way, you want to think about two things:
  1. A Name for your Blog, and
  2. "About Me" What you want the blogging world to know about you right away.
And, isn't this cool? You can automatically number your list! Another important thing is how to classify it. In general, I think it's better if you give it a focus like politics, or socio-economics. I do both those things, but my first blog is listed as a personal blog. In my opinion, the more you can tag, or label, yourself, the easier it is to focus the thrust of your posts.

I will also be referring you to other blogs, how to build a blog list. I have friends how are experts at this, and you can read a lot about writing style, garnering interest in your blog and ideas, linking with other blogs, esp. the Top 100, and so on.

I think it's time for me to send you the link. See you soon. Sweet tides, Linda
